OUR PROMISE
Your accessories shouldn’t cost the earth, so we’re on a journey to making ours more sustainable. From considering what goes into our products to how we support our people and making better choices for the planet, we’ve updated our sustainability goals to reduce our environmental impact from every angle. Read on to learn more.
OUR GOALS
Become a B-corp by 2025 B-Corp certified companies uphold the highest standards for environmental performance and treatment of employees, suppliers and communities. We’re working towards B-Lab’s criteria for social and environmental performance, transparency and accountability. Achieve Net Zero by 2030 Over the next five years we aim to reduce our carbon footprint by at least 50%. We’ll achieve this by measuring our footprint at the end of 2023 to create targets.

While we have big plans for the future, bringing prosperity to the handcraft communities we work with is just as important to us today as it was on day 1. As we grow, we’ll continue working with our suppliers to ensure ethical working conditions while also taking our product on a journey (you can learn more about what goes into our product here). To help us get where we want to be, we’ve developed a roadmap which includes addressing our carbon emissions, developing our circularity projects and investing in new solutions that we can share with the wider fashion industry.
REUSE, RECYCLE, REPEAT

REUSE, RECYCLE, REPEAT

Currently an estimated £140m worth of clothing is sent to UK landfill every year. We’re committed to tackling waste by expanding our reuse and recycling schemes. You can return any unwanted Accessorize items to our stores to be resold through the New Life scheme, with proceeds going to supporting disabled children. Anything not resold through the scheme goes to recycling plants to be given a new lease of life.

We believe creating new material solutions for the sustainability challenges faced by fashion is just as important as embracing existing ones. With that in mind, we have some exciting plans in the work which we’ll be sharing later this year. Watch this space.
