&FINALLY Curate the Key Accessories of SS19

How to do SS19 like a fashion editor? Enter Florrie Thomas and Anna Vitiello, journalists and creators of &FINALLY,  the online platform that celebrates style, fashion and all things accessories. Here in an exclusive shoot for Accessorize, the stylist duo show us how they’ll be wearing the key accessories of SS19, and let us in on their tips and tricks for taking on the biggest trends of the new season. It’s time to style it your way…

How would you describe your personal sense of style?

Florrie: I would say mine is a mix of vintage and bohemian style made modern with minimal and contemporary pieces.  I love colour and print but prefer to blend them with clean lines and classic shapes.

Anna: I’m a little predictable in many ways: I love suiting, statement shoulders, animal prints and most importantly, I love to load on the accessories. I think my friends (Florrie included) would describe my style as being inspired by my Italian side mixed in with 80s elements – my Pinterest is full of runway and archive editorial from that era.

Tell us about the best accessory you own…

F:  This is so hard! It’s like choosing a favourite child! On the one hand, I want to say it’s my vintage floral beaded bag from the 70s, but then equally I might have to pick my Celine boots which seem to work with and add edge to everything.

A: That’s a tough one but possibly a vintage YSL bag that my mum got me for my 21st birthday. It’s not about the price tag or the brand, but rather finding something that you love year after year, no matter how your style changes.

What are your favourite pieces from our new-season collection?

F: First and foremost, it has got to be the amazing selection of hair slides! The range includes crystal-embellished styles to versatile resin designs. We also love your minimal take on bags. The clean lines and shapes mean they will fit seamlessly into your wardrobe and become hard-working accessories that go with everything and see you through summer.

A: The woven, macramé and raffia bags are so strong too. These will never date and will work perfectly with all your summer looks, whether you’re a lover of a floaty floral dress or a clean-lined linen suit.

Talk us through the bags you’ve chosen…

F: We’ve hand-picked a number of different styles that are all very versatile and easy to wear. The beaded bag is a must-buy. People will think its vintage and that’s just how to wear it, unexpectedly teamed with something modern and clean. Plus it’s the perfect size for your necessities too.

A: The belt bag has been around for a while now but is not something to be afraid of. We find adding one your beloved blazer can make you feel and look so much more polished. The style we’ve chosen is simple yet still adds something a little extra. For a chic way to wear it, team it with monochrome.

F: The bucket bag is a forever classic and we love the combination of natural linen and plastic: a classic with a modern twist. We both love wearing browns and tans so layering this bag with a camel coat, white jeans and a cashmere knit works for now and then come spring, we’ll team it a with cream linen dress.

How will you be wearing statement earrings this season?

A: We are lovers of gold jewellery and sometimes anything too bright can feel out of place if you’re not on a summer holiday. There’s something about resin, however, that feels easy to wear and mix in with your go to neutrals.

What are your top style tips for wearing hair clips?

A: Hair accessories are something that can seem a little scary until you try it and then trust us, you’ll become addicted and they’ll be your secret weapon for looking pulled together when you’ve simply thrown things on!

F: For hair slides, we suggest layering them up on one side of your hairline in a row of say three or four. If that seems too bold then start with one, pulling your hair loosely to the side. Another way to wear them is to pull back your hair into a loose low ponytail and clip with a simple larger slide. Start simple and see how you go.
